Mr. Sri Krishna Basnet, born in Sitapaila, Kathmandu, is a Public Health Expert with over 20 years of experience. He holds a PCL in General Medicine from IOM, Maharajgunj, a Bachelor’s in Development Studies from Kathmandu University, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the State University of Bangladesh (2008). Mr. Basnet has held various positions in INGOs and government agencies, including roles at Save the Children/NFHP, Nepal Fertility Care Center, and MaxPro Private Ltd. He has contributed significantly to maternal, newborn, and child health, nutrition, and reproductive health. He served as the Sr. Health Service Promotion Coordinator for the Save the Children/USAID-Suaahara Program in Kathmandu and as a Public Health Promotion Capacity Builder at OXFAM Nepal under the WASH program.
Specializing in health systems, policy, and planning at the local level, he worked as the Social Development Program Coordinator for Nagarjun Municipality for over five years. He also gained experience in plan and policy development, project management, public health promotion, capacity building, and health system strengthening as a Senior Research Fellow at Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital and Technical Project Coordinator at Caritas Nepal/WCWS. Mr. Basnet has led project evaluations for the Social Welfare Council and has extensive experience in project evaluation, research, Social Audit, Nutrition, SBCC, ARSH, HFoMC, PEN, CBIMNCI, and WASH programs. He has delivered numerous training sessions both within organizations and as a freelancer. He enjoys connecting with like-minded professionals for collaboration and discussion in his areas of expertise.
